The Saskatchewan RCMP are reporting poor weather and icy conditions both east and west on Highway 16 from the Saskatoon area, with some lasting all the way until North Battleford. They stated in a news release that there are multiple vehicles and semis in the ditch around the Borden Bridge area.
They are asking motorists to refrain from traveling on Highway #16 in these areas due to the risk.
Highway Hotline is reporting icy or slippery conditions surrounding Saskatoon, stating that some roads are wet and subject to freezing. Around Moose Jaw, loose and swirling snow is being reported, and icy/slippery sections are cautioned near Regina. There is drifting snow near Weyburn and Milestone, however seasonal driving conditions exist near Kenaston.
