The Saskatoon SPCA is struggling with being over capacity and is calling on the community for help and support.
Recently, five Labrador puppies were left on the SPCA’s doorstep in a Rubbermaid bin. That delivery resulted in the SPCA having 28 puppies in total. They are all under 12 weeks old. An SPCA media post says although they appreciate being entrusted with caring for the puppies, they will require a lot of resources and attention. The organization says the public can make a difference by adopting a puppy, making a cash donation, or providing puppy-specific food to the shelter.
The SPCA reminds the public that they cover the costs of vaccinations, deworming, and spaying or neutering for every animal in their care and thrive on community support.
