The Saskatoon Police Service says a 20-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with Attempted Murder after a violent altercation at a bar.
Around 2:50 in the morning on Saturday patrol officers responded to a report of an injured person at a bar in the 60 block of 24th Street East.
The caller told police there had been a fight outside the bar with one man allegedly breaking a glass bottle and threatening to kill the victim and then is said to have slashed-stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing in a vehicle.
A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after suffering numerous stab wounds. Police say a high-risk traffic stop was conducted at 24th Street East and 2nd Avenue North and a suspect was arrested.
Police also say the two men were unknown to each other prior to that night.
