Saskatoon is the host of the 47th annual TeleMiracle fundraiser beginning today.
The 20-hour telethon will run from 9:00pm tonight (Saturday) until 5:00pm tomorrow (Sunday).
TeleMiracle Chair Scott Lamb says over the last 47 years, the organization has raised over $150 million, and last year was a record year with a total of $8 million collected.
Lamb also says there will be some changes to the event this year, including a new look to the stage, new additions to the National Cast, and also an acknowledgment to the late Bob McGrath.
The money will go towards travel funds to make sure Saskatchewan residents can get to their medical appointments, as well as scooters, ramps, and walkers to make mobility and independence easier.
