In a long standing tradition students with Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools will be Halloweening for Hunger.
GSCS says for two decades students at St. Joseph High School have led the initiative goint door to door collecting food for the food bank.
To date, in total, they have collected over 220,000 pounds of food.
This year Student groups have signed up for over 200 routes in several Saskatoon neighbourhoods. Bishop James Mahoney High School students are collecting food in Martensville and Warman as well as designated Saskatoon neighbourhoods.
If students are Halloweening for Hunger in your area you should receive a flyer notifying you of the initiative. Residents are asked to donate non-perishable food on the evenings of October 30th and 31st so Friday and Saturday. Donation packages can also be left outside with the notification flyer or a note.
