The average retail gas price in Saskatoon has fallen 0.6 cents to 146.77 cents per litre as of yesterday.
According to GasBuddy, a gasoline price comparing website, the national average gas price has fallen 4.3 cents to 146.82 cents per litre. The head petroleum analyst at Gas Buddy, Patrick De Haan, says this is the largest weekly decline in national average gas prices of 2023. He attributes the decline to the sudden and sharp drop in the price of oil. Additional declines in diesel are expected in the coming weeks, however, De Haan says motorists should enjoy the gasoline decrease when it’s here, because the eventual transition to summer gasoline is likely to lead to increases down the road.
