A First Nations peer support platform app, in partnership with the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations and TryCycle Data Systems, has been launched in Saskatchewan.

The “Talking Stick App” is intended to provide culture-based support and confidential conversations. The Talking Stick App’s theme is Every Voice Matters, meaning a commitment to language, inclusion and self-determination with the emphasis on job creation, skills development and training. The app is a nation-to-nation program, a peer advocate network and infrastructure designed to compensate for the lack of resources and cultural supports that exist today for First Nations people. The app also has a chat service that is available in seven different First Nations languages.
