There has been no word from RCMP on what transpired at Red Pheasant Cree Nation Sunday or whether the matter has concluded.

At least eight unmarked vehicles with lights flashing ,travelling at a smart pace, were seen going north Sunday morning on Highway 11.

Battlefords RCMP sent out a notice later Sunday that they, along with additional RCMP resources, were on scene at Red Pheasant Cree Nation in response to an on-going investigation.

The RCMP were asking members of the public to avoid the area and indicated they would be present for an undetermined amount of time.
