Seven types of drugs and three weapons were seized during a traffic stop in Lloydminster last week.
On Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., RCMP received a report of an armed male who was believed to be travelling in a vehicle towards the Lloydminster or Battlefords area.
The vehicle was spotted on Highway #16 near Lloydminster. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and three occupants inside the vehicle were arrested at the scene.
Officers also seized 447 grams of fentanyl, 761 grams of cocaine, 85 grams of methamphetamine, 226 grams of psilocybin, 700 millilitres of gamma hydroxybutyrate, 2627 pharmaceutical-style oxycodone pills; and 441 pharmaceutical-style Xanax pills. Weapons seized included three firearms, including a loaded handgun, three loaded firearms magazines; and almost 1000 rounds of ammunition.
Further investigation determined one of the individuals had removed a court-ordered electronic monitoring device earlier that day.
Now, 28-year-old Omar Cristiano Caceres from Bonnyville, AB, 26-year-old Zanielle Demarais from Lloydminster, and 30-year-old Kevin Kahmahkotayo from Lloydminster, are facing a combined 68 charges.
The trio appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court on August 20.
