Two Saskatchewan residents have been recognized with the Canadian Red Cross’ highest honour.
The Order of the Red Cross has been awarded to Barb Thompson of Regina who has been a dedicated volunteer with the organization for 26 years and has served in several emergency management positions.
The recognition was also given to Doug Reid of North Battleford who has been a Canadian Red Cross volunteer for 14 years. Red Cross officials point to the generous donation of his time
Vice President for the Red Cross in Saskatchewan’s Luc Mullinder says, “This prestigious national award has only been appointed to 350 people in the last 37 years,” says . “We feel fortunate to have two Saskatchewan volunteers who are worthy of the award this year.”
