RCMP say search efforts are ongoing for 15 year-old Jaxon MacDonald of Regina.
Jaxon is described as being 5’6” tall with a slim build. He has brown hair and blue eyes and wears braces, he was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black Adidas pants and black running shoes.
Jaxon was last seen leaving a cottage on foot in the Jubilee Subdivision area of Duck Mountain Provincial Park around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. His destination was a cottage in the same subdivision, not far away.
CJWW talked to Jaxon’s mother Danielle Wilson who says they are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts. “Anything that helps, anybody that knows anything about him, or anybody from around this area that has seen him, or knows somebody that might have seen him. We’re just desperate at this point for any information, if he’s gotten in a car with someone, and he’s in the Kamsack area, we just don’t know, we just can’t anything.” Wilson says they’re not ruling anything out, she last spoke to Jaxon at 12:30 a.m. as she was going to go pick him up and something happened to him within the 10 minutes it took for her to get there.
Around 100 people from Kamsack Detachment, RCMP Police Dog Services, Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, RCMP and Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers Search and Rescue Teams and the Kamsack Fire Department, as well as numerous members of the public, have been searching for Jaxon by land and air since Sunday.
RCMP are knocking on doors in the are, however, many of the properties at the park are seasonal. RCMP request if residents of the Subdivision at Duck Mountain Provincial Park would like the RCMP to check their property to confirm Jaxon is not there, to please contact the Kamsack RCMP Detachment 306-542-5560.
Police says temperatures dropped to -10 overnight Sunday and Jaxon was not dressed appropriately for the weather. Police and Jaxon’s family are concerned for his wellbeing.
