An update from the Saskatchewan RCMP says a 22-year-old man who died in Pelican Narrows on October 29 was shot after an encounter with two teenagers.
According to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release, investigators determined the man approached the youths and fired a gun at them.
One of the youths then fired a gun toward the 22-year-old.
The man was later found seriously injured at a residence and died in hospital.
A teenage suspect was arrested on November 1 after contacting the RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit and turning themselves in.
However, after reviewing additional evidence, including video footage, and consulting Crown prosecutors, police released the youth without charges.
RCMP say neither teenager reported any physical injuries.
Investigators are not seeking any additional suspects and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
