New traffic signals at Preston Avenue and Wilson Crescent in Saskatoon will be switched on Friday.

The City says the lights are being installed to improve safety and handle increasing traffic volumes.

Drivers should be aware that the signals will briefly operate in flashing red mode during activation and should treat the intersection as a three-way stop until the signals are fully operational.
