Black Lake RCMP are still searching for one of two overdue hunters in the area.

On Sunday at 11 a.m., Black Lake RCMP were informed that two adult, male hunters did not return from a trip as expected.

A search began, and shortly after, officers were told a man’s body was found near an empty boat in the water south of Black Lake. It has been determined he was one of the missing hunters.

RCMP say based on preliminary investigation, his death is not believed to be suspicious. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service will work to determine his cause of death.

The other hunter is still missing and the search continues in a remote location south of Black Lake.
