A Corman Park Police Service traffic stop has led to the seizure of weapons, cash and drug paraphernalia.
CPPS officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 219 after seeing a vehicle travelling 50 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone and failing to maintain its lane on Friday.
During the investigation, officers seized:
- $3,600 in cash
- Two scales with cocaine residue and hundreds of small baggies
- Unstamped tobacco and other drug paraphernalia
- Bear spray, a collapsible baton, a prohibited knife and a BB gun
The driver also failed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and received a 21-day driver’s licence suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment.
As well the driver has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and weapons offences, although the charges have not been proven in court.
