September was much wetter than normal in many central and southern areas of Saskatchewan, much to the chagrin of farmers wanting to combine.
The province’s two largest cities had between three and four times normal September precipitation. This occurred while northern Saskatchewan was experiencing a drier than normal month.

All eleven recording stations were warmer than normal in September. There were two distinct warm periods during the first and third weeks of September.
