The Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) at the University of Saskatchewan opens its doors to the public every two years.

Vetavision involves all WCVM students, but is organized by those in the third year. There are stations covering various animal health care topics.

“You can interact with students, ask question and learn more about veterinarians and what they do.” said Jasmine Dhami, a third-year veterinary student.

There are also live animal displays, including dogs, cats, horses, chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep, llamas and snakes.  Several demonstrations are on the schedule—hoof trimming, treating equine lameness, falconry and the Saskatoon Police Service Canine Unit.
