After a 20.6 cent a litre hike in gas prices two weeks ago in Saskatoon – prices went up another 10.9 c/L last week according to GasBuddy.com’s daily survey of 81 gas outlets in Saskatoon. The average retail price in Saskatoon was 188.51 c/L Sunday.

In a news release Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. com said, “Average gasoline prices were mixed across Canada over the last week, with Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick seeing declines while Prairie provinces bore the brunt of Great Lakes refinery disruptions, sending gasoline prices up nearly 15 cents per litre and diesel surging almost 25 cents per litre in those markets.” He said diesel rose in every province.

Average retail gasoline prices at 188.51 c/L yesterday, this compares with the national average that has increased 4.0 c/L in the last week to 182.83 c/L.

Including the change in gas prices in Saskatoon during the past week, prices yesterday were 55.3 c/L higher than the same day one year ago and are 21.8 c/L higher than a month ago
