The Saskatoon Police Service says one man has been charged in the wake of a weapons incident Friday morning.
Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Avenue S South around 5:30 a.m. after receiving a report of an injured person.
Officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
No one fired a gun at him rather police say he had been trying to break down the firearm when it discharged and injured him. He was taken to hospital by paramedics for Treatment.
The 27 year old Saskatoon man has been charged with seven weapons-related offences.
