Rosthern RCMP say a 16 year old teenage girl from Shellbrook died in a two vehicle collision near Hepburn Saturday night.
The call came in at 10:10 p.m. on Highway #12 north of the Highway #312 intersection near Hepburn.
A truck and SUV collided and the driver of the SUV was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. A passenger in the SUV was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
The driver and sole occupant of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was also arrested by Rosthern RCMP and 22 year old Riley Farthing from Blaine Lake is charged with one count, operation while impaired of motor vehicle causing death.
He made his first court appearance Monday in Saskatoon. Rosthern RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
