The City of Saskatoon has issued an update on flooding caused by heavy rain Monday night.
Upwards of 80 millimetres, or more than three inches, fell. City crews have been addressing flooded intersections, popped manhole covers and other flood-related issues on roadways.
Currently the Hampton Village life station serving the west side remains near capacity.
The City says the infrastructure system will need several days to recover from the Labor Day rain. People can help by reducing the use of washing machines and dishwashers, or by flushing toilets when absolutely necessary.
