A 60-year-old man from Pilger appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday to face a long list of charges following the execution of a search warrant back on Thursday at a residence in Pilger as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Gaetan Carrier was arrested at the property by Saskatchewan RCMP after officers located and seized 530 grams of cocaine, seven grams of methamphetamine, 52,500 unstamped illegal cigarettes, 40 grams of unstamped cannabis plus a firearm, a baton, a conducted energy weapon and a sum of cash. Carrier was charged with one count each of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of property obtained by crime less than five thousand dollars, unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and sell, offer for sale, transport, deliver, distribute or have in his possession for the purpose of sale a tobacco product or raw leaf tobacco that is unstamped.
