A 34-year-old man from Stanley Mission died in an A-T-V collision in the Northern Saskatchewan community late Friday evening.

The man’s identity hasn’t been released, but his family has been notified. According to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release, the Stanley Mission detachment received a report at about 11 p.m. on August 28th that there was an A-T-V involved in a collision, later to be determined the A-T-V collided with a sign at the intersection of Highway #915 and Bear Avenue. The man was taken to hospital by E-M-S where he was later declared deceased. Stanley Mission RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist. This fatal collision is the 62nd one in 2026 on roadways policed by the Saskatchewan RCMP with the deceased male being the 75th fatality – as of 1 p.m. on August 31st.
