The City of Prince Albert will begin its annual hydraulic flushing program in Zone 1 during the week of August 31.

The area includes everything north of 19th Street, with flushing taking place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. over the next four to six weeks, weather permitting.

Residents may notice temporary drops in water pressure or discoloured water, and are asked to avoid using water while flushing is underway and turn off time-delayed systems like dishwashers and lawn sprinklers.

The routine maintenance uses high-velocity water to clear sediment and mineral buildup from water mains and help maintain water quality and the reliability of the distribution system.
