The Midwestern Legislative Conference will be held early next week (August 30-September 2) in Minneapolis. Saskatchewan is the only Canadian jurisdiction holding full membership in the organization along with 11 U.S. States. Other provinces–Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario hold affiliate status.
This will be David Marit’s second trade visit to the U.S. Midwest this summer—the other was in Wisconsin last month.
US President Donald Trump and his administration want Canada to make concessions on supply management, which oversees dairy, egg and poultry production in our country. A reporter in Prince Albert asked about the Saskatchewan government’s position on supply management.
