The Saskatoon Police Service has charged a 36-year-old man following an incident where staff at a business were threatened with a gun on Thursday.
Around 9:30 pm, an officer was at the business in the 2000 block of 8th Street East on another matter. Staff reported that an unknown man had just left the store after threatening them with a gun. The man was located outside and found to be in possession of a knife. An air soft pistol was found on the ground beside him.
He was taken into custody without incident and found to have firearm prohibitions from Saskatoon, Buffalo Narrows, Warman and Grande Cache, Alberta.
He is now facing two counts of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace and a number of firearm related charges.
