Big River RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a 27-year-old Lloydminster man wanted in connection with an assault and firearm discharge on Big River First Nation.

Police say the incident happened Wednesday evening, when a man allegedly assaulted someone inside a residence, threatened them with a firearm and fired a shot that did not strike anyone. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Kerry Lewis is facing several charges, including assault, pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm and weapons offences, and an arrest warrant has been issued for him.

Police say do not approach Lewis if you see him and instead contact Big River RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
