A garage fire on 20th Street West is in the hands of the Saskatoon Police Service for investigation.

According to a Saskatoon Fire Department (S-F-D) news release, crews received a report of a fire to a garage in the 1700 block of 20th Street West at about 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, S-F-D crews saw flames and smoke coming from a detached garage and completely extinguished the blaze by applying water to the structure’s exterior while another crew forced their way inside the garage. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters and a fire investigator is on the scene to assess the cause of the fire as well as come up with a damage estimate.
