The Saskatoon RCMP say there has been a serious collision on Highway 11 north of Hanley. The Highway Hotline now indicates one lane of traffic is open, and a detour has been established at the accident site on Highway 11 just north of Hanley in the northbound lanes. Ther is no passing and drivers need to be prepared to stop. RCMP say the highway restrictions will be in place for an undetermined amount of time. No other details are available.
There were two other serious collisions on the long weekend. A fatal single vehicle rollover on George Gordon First Nation that claimed the lives of a 42-year-old woman and two 43-year-old men from the First Nation – that was just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning and around noon Sunday there was another accident – a collision on Highway 16 three kilometres northwest of Maymont. As of midafternoon Sunday, Saskatchewan RCMP say there had been 53 fatal collisions and 66 fatalities in RCMP jurisdiction in 2026.
