The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested one man after an evade police incident Wednesday night.

Around 11:50pm, an officer patrolling in the area of Dagnone Crescent and Brighton Gate attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle.

Police say the driver then put the vehicle back into drive and fled at a high speed during the traffic stop. The driver managed to evade police for a short while before crashing into city infrastructure in the area of McOrmond Drive and Stensrud Road. He was arrested without further incident.

The 22-year-old Saskatoon man was found to be wanted on several warrants. In addition to the warrants, he was charged with Obstruction, Evading Police, Dangerous Driving, and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions.
