As part of an ongoing firearms investigation Saskatchewan RCMP located and seized firearms and ammunition in Lloydminster.

On July 15 the Lloydminster Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) executed a search warrant at a home on 22nd Street in the community.

Officers located and seized four firearms with prohibited magazines and ammunition. However, they determined that four additional, restricted firearms, which were registered to be stored at the residence, were not there.

The firearms had not been reported lost or stolen and their investigation determined one firearm was located by police in Alberta. Officers are actively working to locate the other three.

As result of investigation, 61-year-old Brian Gogowich of Lloydminster is charged with three counts, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device and
four counts, fail to report loss of restricted firearm.

Lloydminster STRT continues to investigate.
