Tuesday night the 9th annual Field of STARS, held in conjunction with Ag in Motion, raised $725,000.
In a news release the president and CEO of STARS said that farmers are the cornerstone of Canada and their work which matters deeply is also hard and relentless.
Dr. John Froh said, “Despite their around the clock hours, Saskatchewan’s agriculture community found the time and resources to support STARS tonight. It is with deep gratitude that we thank them for their meaningful contributions, which helps keep STARS in the sky.”
At the event STARS Very Important Patient recounted his experience with STARS responding when he needed it most after being run over by a tractor and 907-kilogram baler.
Chad Rogers says he has often wondered what happened prior to STARS in a critical emergency medical situation and says people either died or didn’t get a chance at recovery like he did.
