Around 3:20 p.m. Friday police were called to the 200 block of Avenue K South after it was reported a man had stabbed another man and the suspect was last seen in the 1100 block of 20th Street West. Officers located a man matching the suspect description as well a knife was seized. A 40-year-old man was transported to hospital for further treatment for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries from stabbing. A 25-year-old man was charged with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon as well as breaching court-imposed conditions.

Saturday night around 8:00 p.m. Police responded to an injured person report in the area of 21st Street West and Avenue I South. Police located a man who had been stabbed. It’s believed the stabbing actually occurred in the 300 block of Avenue M South. The victim was taken to hospital for further medical treatment.

Around 3:15 pm. Sunday police received an injured person report from the area of 20th Street and Avenue H South after it was reported a man had been stabbed and there was no suspect at the scene. The 40-year-old man who had been stabbed was transported by paramedics to hospital for further treatment with non-life-threatening injuries.

Earlier Sunday morning the Saskatoon Police Service dispatched officers to a weapons complaint in the 200 block of Avenue U South. The call came in at 9:05 a.m. and the victim told officers they had asked a suspect to leave the property which is when the suspect assaulted and tried to stab him then ran away. The suspect is described as male and was wearing blue Under Armour running shoes, a blue backpack, black coat, and blue jeans. The suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.
