The Western Canadian Baseball League is into its All-Star Weekend, being held at Cairns Field in Saskatoon. Today’s activities begin at 4 p.m. and feature a bunting competition, a junior home run derby, the W-C-B-L home run derby and a concert with Jordyn Pollard. The All-Star Game, between the East Division and the West Division will be played tomorrow at Cairns Field with first pitch at 1 o’clock. Regular season play resumes Monday with four games. The Saskatoon Berries are idle until Tuesday when they visit the Energy City Cactus Rats at 6:35 p.m. at Spruce Grove, Alberta. The Berries have 28 wins, 12 losses…good for 2nd place in the East Division. Energy City has 14 wins, 22 losses…good for 4th place in the West Division. Saskatoon’s next home game is Monday, July 27th against the Medicine Hat Mavericks. First pitch is 7 p.m. at NexGen Park at Cairns Field.

The 2026 Western Canadian Waterski Championships continue today and run through tomorrow at the Saskatoon Water-Ski Club, located at 425-58th Street East. Over 50 athletes from Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and B-C will compete in three different disciplines – slalom, jump and tricks – looking to qualify for the Canadian Championships.
