Ahtahkakoop RCMP have charged a man with forcible confinement and sexual interference.
On Sunday police were notified about a man meeting with a teenage girl on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation. He left with her in his vehicle. Around two hours after police were notified, the vehicle was located and the man was arrested at a residence in Nipawin.
An investigation found that the man had been in contact with the girl through social media prior to the meet up.
As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Drann McKay from Nipawin has been charged with one count of unlawful confinement, and one count sexual interference.
He appeared in Nipawin Provincial Court on Thursday.
