A homeowner was taken to hospital following an early morning house fire on Hazen Street.
Fire crews responded just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday and found heavy smoke inside the home. The homeowner was able to call 911 and get out safely before firefighters arrived. Crews quickly knocked down the flames on the main floor and used ventilation fans to clear smoke from the structure.
The homeowner was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital.
The fire is out, and investigators are now working to determine the cause and estimate the damage.
