The next phase of the Downtown Watermain Lining and Infrastructure Renewal Project will begin this week (June 29).
Crews will begin replacing the water main on 4th Avenue between 24th Street and 25th Street. The intersection at 4th Avenue and 24th Street will be closed for around three weeks, weather permitting and subject to change for unforeseen circumstances.
Temporary water services have already been installed for affected properties. Access restrictions will be in place within the work zone while construction is underway, and pedestrian detours may be in place through the area.
During construction, motorists should expect traffic delays and detours in the area.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detours and use caution when travelling near construction zones.
Saskatoon Transit may also be affected by these detours.
