Saskatoon residents are being reminded to pay their property taxes on time if they don’t want to incur late fees.
The deadline for 2026 property taxes is June 30. Any payments received after Tuesday will have a monthly compounded late fee of 1.75 per cent added on.
Mayor Cynthia Block explained the deadline is set for the end of June to make sure the city is able to plan accordingly with the city’s needs. Block added that the property taxes help to pay for fixes to infrastructure around the city.
Property taxes can be paid online or in-person through your financial institution, in-person at City Hall, or payment can be left in the City Hall drop boxes.
Most banks require up to two business days to process payments, and some may take longer. The City has stated it is not responsible for any bank-related delays.
In person payments at City Hall can be made by cheque, cash or debit until 5:00 p.m. on June 30. City Hall drop boxes are located outside the main entrance or inside the lobby and will only accept cheques.
If you’ve already mailed in your payment, you can call the automated line at 1-800-667-9944 or Corporate Revenue Customer Service at 306-975-2400 to check your account balance.
