Saskatchewan Agriculture reports 97 per cent of the provincial crop had been seeded as of Monday, with the east-central region trailing at 90 per cent.

There are only three crops that are less than 95 per cent seeded—-flax and oats at 93 per cent while chickpeas are 89 per cent.

Rainfall varied with several regions not getting any precipitation while other had significant amounts. The R.M. of Lipton, about an hour northeast of Regina, had 90 millimetres. Langenburg and Elfros had 78 and 74 millimetres respectively.

Provincial cropland topsoil moisture conditions are 15 per cent surplus, 74 per cent adequate, 10 per cent short and one per cent very short. Hayland topsoil moisture is 11 per cent surplus 74 per cent adequate, 13 per cent short and two per cent very short.
Pasture topsoil moisture is eight per cent surplus, 74 per cent adequate, 16 per cent short and two per cent very short. op development is mostly normal or behind normal.

About two-thirds of spring cereal crops are at normal development with one third behind.  Fifty-three per cent of oilseeds are at normal development with 46 per cent behind.  Seventy-three percent of pulse crops are at normal development and 23 per cent are behind.

Most crops are rated between fair and good, while there is  a smaller number in excellent conditions.

Flea beetles are being reported in some canola crops.
