Wednesday morning proved to be a busy one for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, even before the team hit the field for their second practice of the week. The Green and White announced the signings of National long snapper Mike Benson and defensive back Jonathan Edourad. Benson spent the previous five seasons with Winnipeg, as well as stops in Edmonton, B-C, and Ottawa appearing in 158 games across 12 seasons. With the Blue Bombers, Benson appeared in three straight Grey Cup’s and won in 2021. Edouard previously spent the past three seasons with Toronto, winning a Grey Cup in 2024. The Florida native suited up for 41 games across his three seasons and had 13 defensive tackles, 23 special teams’ tackles, plus a sack and interception.
