A 26-year-old man named Kain Cheechan is wanted on warrant by the Rose Valley RCMP.

Cheechan is wanted in relation to a shooting investigation in the early hours of morning on Saturday on Yellow Quill First Nation.

When police arrived this morning they found an injured man located outside a residence. The man was transported to hospital with injuries that are described as non-life threatening. The suspect had fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Officers also discovered a vehicle that had sustained fire damage at the scene.

Cheechan is charged with discharge firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, arson damage to motor vehicle, and two counts of possession contrary to order.

Cheechan is described as:

– 5 ft 7 inch tall

– 176 lbs

– Brown eyes

– Black hair
