An Ontario teen living in Saskatchewan who went missing last year has been found dead. RCMP had considered the disappearance of 16-year-old Jay’siiah Webb-Long as suspicious and after human remains were discovered near Pelican Narrows during a planned search last Wednesday, they have now deemed it a homicide investigation.
An autopsy last Friday confirmed that it was indeed the missing person from Brampton Ontario who was last in contact with family on May 16, 2025.
Jay’siiah Webb-Long had been living in Pelican Narrows around the time of his disappearance. He was initially reported missing to Peel Regional Police. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit, previously known as the Major Crimes Unit, took carriage of the investigation in July 2025.
Anyone with information that may be relevant to this investigation should report it to Saskatchewan RCMP by dialling 310-RCMP (1-306-780-5563 if calling from outside the province). Information can also be submitted anonymously
