The Saskatchewan RCMP is releasing video footage of a homicide victim from just a few days before she was found dead in hopes of generating some answers.
On April 8 at 2:45 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a dead woman at a home on 20th Street West in Battleford. She was identified as 65-year-old Melissa Kohle-Derkachenko.
Now, video of Melissa walking into Walmart in North Battleford has been released. The video was taken on the morning of April 5. She was wearing a black jacket, blue and green plaid patterned pants, black boots, and glasses.
Investigators are releasing the video of Melissa so people can see what she looks like and what she was wearing the last time she was seen. It is their hope that tips from the public may help develop a clearer timeline of events leading up to her death, which is considered a homicide.
Anyone with information about the situation is asked to contact police.
