Meadow Lake RCMP Combined Traffic Services pulled over an SUV at approximately 5:45pm on Monday after noticing it matched the description of a stolen vehicle.
The SUV was searched and RCMP seized 94 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, an imitation firearm and other weapons.
Three people have been charged— all residents of the Thunderchild First Nation. Twenty-six-year-old Micayla Jimmy, 35-year-old Ashton Martell and 27-year-old Tariq Nicotine have been charged with the following:
-one count, possession of imitation firearm in the commission of an offense
-one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
-three counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
-one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
-one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
Jimmy was also charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts for failing to comply with Section 145(5) (a), Criminal Code.
The three appeared in Onion Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday.
