The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a multi family townhouse fire Wednesday evening where occupants had to be rescued from the roof.
The call came in at 7:06 p.m. from the 3100 block of Laurier Drive and arriving firefighters could see smoking coming from the two-storey building.
Two people had self evacuated onto the roof above the front entrance of the unit.
Fire crews laddered the roof and safely got the two stranded people back on the ground.
The fire was completely put out and everyone got out safely. A fire investigator is determining a cause, origin and damage estimate.
