Prince Albert Raiders’ players, coaches and staff took a commercial flight to the SeaTac International Airport Wednesday morning in advance of Friday’s start of the W-H-L final.
The air travel group will then head north to Everett, Washington, where the first two games of the best-of-seven Ed Chynoweth Cup final will be held. P-A’s equipment and gear left Tuesday and was taken to Everett by their team bus. The Raiders won the only head-to-head meeting with the Tips this season by a 4-1 score on November 11 in Everett. The Silvertips captured the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for having the best regular-season record in the W-H-L at 57-8-3 while Prince Albert topped the Eastern Conference with a 52-10-6 log.
