We heard about the sixth homicide this year in Saskatoon on Sunday. But there was a fifth.
The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating an April 15th death as Saskatoon’s 5th homicide of 2026.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m. that Wednesday officers responded to a report of an injured and unresponsive person in an apartment building in the 1100 block of Avenue W North.
Life-saving measures were attempted; however, the person was declared deceased by medical personnel.
The Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are also investigating the city’s sixth homicide after a man succumbed to his injuries in hospital Saturday. Saskatoon Police say officers responded to an injured person call in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West around 10:54 p.m. on Friday. The 55-year-old man died in hospital the next day.
