A 24-year-old North Battleford man is off to court Monday following a stabbing investigation from April 25.
Around 4:00 a.m. that day, RCMP received a report of a male yelling on the 1700 block of 105th Street in North Battleford. Two more calls were received shortly after, and it was reported a male was seriously injured.
Officers responded and entered a home on 105th Street as there was concern for the safety of people inside. There, they located a man with stab wounds. A woman was also transported to hospital with injuries.
Initial investigation has determined an altercation took place inside the home between two men. Police say one male stabbed the other during the altercation. The woman was also injured. The suspect, Shelwin Tootoosis, was arrested by RCMP outside another home on the same street.
