Saskatoon’s snow crews are gearing up for a significant dump of fresh powder.
Environment and Climate Change Canada is forecasting a significant snowfall beginning overnight Wednesday into early Thursday morning, with as much as 10-15 centimetres of accumulation in Saskatoon.
A release from the City says given the forecasted accumulation of blowing snow, residents should expect slower travel and changing road conditions.
Plows, graders and sanders will focus on Priority Streets such as Circle Drive and Idylwyld Drive first and continue working through the day as conditions evolve.
Because Saskatoon is also expecting to see warmer temperatures following the storm, operational planning will be adjusted to account for future melting.
