American Idol went full rock last night, opening with Carrie Underwood and Billy Idol tearing into “Rebel Yell,” backed by Steve Stevens.
It was Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night, with Idol among this year’s inductees — alongside Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, and Oasis — ahead of the ceremony November 14th.
Carrie leaned into the theme too, rocking a leather-and-chains look for the high-energy opener.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are getting love online after sharing a cover of Be Her — and even Ella Langley is a fan, calling it “I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.”
The track is heating up too — “Be Her” just hit the Top 10, while her song “Choosin’ Texas” holds strong at number one for a sixth straight week.

Dierks Bentley has been awarded the CMA Foundation Humanitarian Award for his support of music education.
He’s been helping provide schools with instruments and supplies, continuing the foundation’s mission to keep music programs alive.
